Introduction
The Bachelor of Psychology component of your double degree is designed for those who wish to study psychology and understand the complexities of human behaviour and the biological, psychological and social factors that contribute to individual group and community processes. You will learn about how psychological, social and personality factors influence thinking and behaviour as well as how interventions can be applied to help people lead more satisfying and meaningful lives. This course is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). Your studies will enable you to pursue a career in a diverse range of fields including research, mental health and welfare, human resources, community services and counselling, education and health services. You could also undertake further steps to qualify to practice as a professional psychologist or pursue a career in counselling, welfare, social work, human resources, marketing or research.The Bachelor of Arts component of your double degree will immerse you in high-impact learning and teaching that supports you to explore complex environments, navigate cultural and social diversity, and seek innovative solutions to the challenges of the age. You will be introduced to core principles within several arts disciplines contributing breadth to your knowledge of the arts, humanities and social sciences; and will have an opportunity to explore a focused program of study that will develop your practical and theoretical skills and knowledge in one Faculty of Arts listed major area of study while concurrently providing you with opportunities to undertake mobility programs, professional development units, and/or topics of interest.[115388H]
