Every student enrolled in 2025S2 has received the following email:

The Australian government implemented Ministerial Direction 111 in December 2024, resulting in student visa processing times for 2025potentially extending up to 16 weeks. As you may know, all visas are processed by the Australian Department of Home Affairs (DHA), and all educational institutions, including Monash University, cannot expedite visa processing or influence the approval outcome. In light of the above, to ensure you have the best chance of successfully enrolling in the second semester of 2025, we have moved the expiration date of the International Student Confirmation of Acceptance (ISCA) agreement forward to April 15, 2025. Please take special note. This notice forms part of your ISCA agreement and has the same effect.

This means you should accept the offer by April 15, in order to submit your student visa application as early as possible.

If your current offer is still subject to academic conditions, you can apply fora conditional offer (i.e., a conditional COE). You can contact us (or through your agent) to apply for this service. Once your conditional COE application is approved,you must complete the acceptance confirmation by April 15.

If you genuinely need to extend this deadline, you can submit an extension application, butapproval depends on the remaining course places and the relevant approval outcome..

Please note,some courses at Monash University have enrollment limits, with limited places that may reach capacity at any time. Course places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis according to factors such as 'acceptance confirmation time,' and there is no guarantee that all applicants will secure a place. Once a course is full, applications that have not completed acceptance confirmation will automatically become invalid and be withdrawn.
