1. Course Positioning and Background

MAPP is a fast-track bridging course officially certified by Monash University and specifically implemented by Monash College, exclusively designed for international students.

This program is aimed at students who have good high school graduation results but do not directly meet the undergraduate admission requirements, providing an accelerated pathway to the first year of undergraduate study at Monash University.

  • Course Nature: Non-degree certificate course (Certificate of Completion)
  • Recognition: Upon completion, students can directly enter the first year of undergraduate study at Monash University (except for certain majors).
  • Target Students: International students only

2. Course Setup and Mode

  • Duration: 4 months (full-time)
  • Teaching Form: Face-to-face offline teaching

3. Entry Requirements

  1. Academic Requirements: Applicants must have completed a course equivalent to the Australian Year 12 or equivalent and achieved good academic results. Suitable for students whose grades are close but have not yet met the direct admission standards for Monash University's undergraduate programs.
  2. English Language Requirements: English scores must meet one of the following standards (or equivalent qualifications): IELTS overall score of 6.0 (no band less than 5.5), PTE Academic overall score of 50 (no band less than 42), Duolingo 105.

4. Course Structure

Students are required to take a total of 4 courses, including:

  1. Compulsory Course (1): Introduction to Academic Communication
  2. Specialized Courses (3): Select 3 courses from the chosen field based on future undergraduate direction to enhance subject knowledge and university study skills.
  3. Teaching Features: Outcome-oriented, using comprehensive methods such as group discussions, case studies, project learning, and academic writing to enhance students' 'university readiness'.
