• ACPSEM is the only approved assessing authority for this occupation category.

Work Experience Requirements

• Depending on the combination in the educational pathways above, a certain amount of full-time work experience in a "Medical Physics" position is required, such as 6 months, 12 months, or 18 months as listed in the pathways.
• The work experience must be genuine and involve the direct application of physical principles to patient care, i.e., clinical/service work in the field of Medical Physics.
• If "currency" of experience is required: the experience must have been completed within recent years (although the specific "recent years" are not uniformly defined across all pathways, "full-time" experience is specified and recent work proof may be required).

Language Requirements

• Must meet the required English language proficiency. This includes, but may not be limited to, test scores such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, Cambridge, or equivalent exams.
• English scores must meet the standard in all components: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Exemptions may apply if the education or part of the education was completed in a recognized "English-speaking country."
