Job Description

  • Examining drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed
  • Locating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters and transmission measuring equipment
  • Attaching wires and cables to appliances
  • Adjusting, replacing and repairing faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instruments
  • Installing cabling for telephone, radio, pay TV and computer transmission
  • Joining cables and sealing sheaths with lead and thermoplastic
  • Erecting, testing and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennae
  • Installing telecommunications equipment and appliances such as telephones, switchboards and data transmission equipment

      1. Provisional Skills Assessment (PSA)
      2. Applicants who have completed 2 years of full-time study in Australia and whose nominated occupation is on the medium- and long-term immigration list can apply for a 1.5-year 485 visa after passing the PSA assessment;
      1. Job Ready Employment Skills Assessment
      2. Applicants can submit JRP applications within the three-year validity period of PSA;
      3. Need to provide: a valid PSA related to the nominated occupation, and an eligible employer to provide EVR and SPR forms. Provide Pays lips & SPR after 6 months;
      4. After TRA certifies that the applicant has worked for 912 hours (an average of 38 hours of full-time work per week), the applicant will be notified that the applicant can proceed to the second step;
      1. Job Ready Workplace Assessment (JRWA)
      2. After the applicant completes 912 hours of paid work within 6 months, the assessor will conduct an assessment at the applicant's workplace to ensure that the applicant has the relevant skills and can perform the relevant work;
      1. Job Ready Final Assessment (JRFA)
      2. After passing this step of application, the applicant can use it to submit an application for technical assessment.

    Degree requirements

      1. 1. Graduates who have completed relevant studies in Australia can complete a career assessment through TRA's Job Ready Program;
      1. 2. People with recognized overseas professional qualifications and experience in skilled trades can submit applications through TRA-approved Australian registered training organizations to complete occupational assessments. The assessment results can be used to apply for a 482 visa or a TSS temporary work visa, and they can work for at least three years.

    1. 1. If the applicant's occupation is on the Offshore Skills Assessment Program (OSAP) list and the applicant's passport is in the corresponding country on the OSAP list, then they can only apply for an OSAP occupation assessment;

    3. - You have a certificate equivalent to the Australian qualification or training qualification for the nominated occupation (AQF for short, the qualification required for TRA occupations is generally Certificatelll, CertificateI or Diploma), or have completed an apprenticeship in Australia for the nominated occupation;
