Job Description
- Assessing, planning and implementing nursing care for patients according to accepted nursing practice and standards
- Providing interventions, treatments and therapies such as administering medications, and monitoring responses to treatments and care plans
- Assisting Registered Nurses and other team members to coordinate and evaluate care provided
- Promoting and assisting in health education activities for the prevention of ill health
- Bathing, feeding, changing and settling newborn infants
- Providing advice and training on infant care to parents of newborn infants
- Providing emotional support to parents of newborn infants

Professional Assessment for Registered Nurses
- 1. Arrange for verification of registration/good standing to be emailed to verification@anmac.org.au;
- 2. Collect and scan copies of the required original supporting documents;
- 3. Create an account on the login page (you can only apply once with the same email address);
- 4. Fill in the online form and make payment;
- 5. You will receive an email from ANMAC confirming that your application and payment have been successfully received;

Academic Qualification Requirements
- Completed a 1.5- to 2-year nursing diploma from an accredited TAFE or vocational institution
Work Experience Requirements
- Applicants must have worked as a nurse within the past 5 years
