Visa Information Update: Ministerial Order No. 111

The new Ministerial Order No. 111 for student visas by the Immigration Department is now in effect, replacing the previous Ministerial Order MD107. This new order will prioritize the processing of student visa applications from educational institutions like Western Sydney University that have not yet reached their 2025 enrollment limits.

Please submit the student visa application as soon as possible after receiving the Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE) to ensure that students enrolling in the third quarter (June) and spring (July) can complete the visa processing in time and arrive in Australia smoothly.

To avoid delays or rejections in visa applications, it is crucial that the visa application materials submitted by students are complete and accurate. Please encourage students to carefully check their visa applications, using the 'Check Twice, Submit Once' provided by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) to ensure the visa application is error-free. In addition, for students from high-risk areas, it is recommended to allow 12 weeks for visa processing to accommodate possible delays.
