Facing the rapid development of education and technological changes, La Trobe University boldly launched the 'AI Application Strategy', aiming to leverage the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to comprehensively enhance education, research, and operational levels, creating a new model for the future university.

La Trobe University's 'Responsible AI Adoption Strategy' focuses on the following three major goals:
1.🤖Cultivating Talent for the AI Era:Integrate AI into the curriculum system to fully prepare students for future AI-driven career environments.
2.🤝Optimizing Work and Learning Experience:Help faculty and staff apply AI technology in an efficient and responsible manner to enhance productivity and user experience.

To achieve the goals of AI application, La Trobe University has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement (MoU) with Microsoft and cybersecurity and cloud service provider CyberCX. This three-year collaboration will integrate the strengths of the three parties to ensure the safe and responsible application of AI technology in education, research, and operational fields.

Collaboration to Expand AI Application Scenarios
La Trobe University's 'Responsible AI Adoption Strategy' was developed by a cross-functional team, comprehensively covering strategic goals and practical application scenarios. Through the university-ledAI Accelerator Program, the team further clarified ideas, validated concepts, ensuring the AI strategy is highly aligned with the university's development direction.
In pilot projects, La Trobe explored the potential of AI in education management, curriculum design, and other fields through the application of Microsoft 365 Copilot, while establishing a 'Responsible AI Adoption Committee' to ensure the compliance of AI technology in ethics, academic integrity, and risk management.

📈Enterprise Skills Enhancement Program:In collaboration with Microsoft, focus on in-depth training in data security, infrastructure, and AI technology to enhance the professional capabilities of the digital team.
Additionally, La Trobe has established practice communities to provide solutions for specific issues. For example, the legal team uses AI to address data security issues, and the School of Psychology and Public Health is testing the AI assistant 'Troby', with plans to expand its functions to human resources and information services in the future.
