The 2024 Northern Territory International Student of the Year Awards are now open for nominations.

The 2024 StudyNT International Student Awards, initiated by the Northern Territory Government, aim to recognize outstanding international students. These awards provide a platform to highlight and acknowledge international students who excel in their studies and community. StudyNT is committed to promoting international education and training, collaborating with businesses and communities to celebrate the achievements of international students.

In 2024, there are 4 categories available for nomination:

Northern Territory Education Promotion Agency International Student of the Year

This award recognizes international students who have dedicated time to mental health and well-being, demonstrated peer support, achieved outstanding academic success, and set an example for other international students in the Northern Territory.

Northern Territory Education Promotion Agency International Student Volunteer of the Year

Recognizes students for their engagement and outstanding contributions to the Northern Territory community through volunteer work (or activities), including their personal growth and achievements.

Northern Territory Education Promotion Agency Alumni Award of the Year

This award recognizes former international students who graduated from international education institutions in the Northern Territory for their outstanding performance in career and personal achievements.

Northern Territory Education Promotion Agency Employer of the Year

This award is nominated by current international students or graduates, aiming to recognize employers in the Northern Territory who hire international students or graduates for temporary, part-time, or full-time work.

The International Student of the Year Award and the International Student Volunteer of the Year Award are open to current international students who meet the following conditions:

• Studying at a CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students) registered educational institution in the Northern Territory (including primary and secondary schools, vocational education and training, English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS), higher education in the Northern Territory)

• Holding a valid 500 category student visa at the time of nomination

• Residing in the Northern Territory

  
  

The International Alumni Award of the Year is open to former international students who have completed their studies at educational institutions in the Northern Territory and currently reside in the Northern Territory. International students and alumni can self-nominate. The public can also nominate eligible individuals for the International Student of the Year Award, International Student Volunteer of the Year Award, and International Alumni Award of the Year.

Nominations for the International Student Employer of the Year Award must be submitted by current international students or graduates.
