Q
Hello Yang! You previously obtained a diploma at Les Roches Shanghai, and many classmates later chose to further their studies in Switzerland. Why did you choose to come to the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School in Australia?
A
Choosing Blue Mountains is mainly because:
First, the QS professional ranking and industry reputation of the Blue Mountains Hotel Management School in Australia are very high. The QS professional ranking of Blue Mountains has been among the top three in Australia for many years, and it has ranked first in Australia for two consecutive years in 2022 and 2023.At the same time, its reputation in the local hotel industry in Australia has always been very high, you can almost always find alumni from Blue Mountains in any high-end hotel in Sydney.Secondly, the natural environment of Australia is very attractive to me, the weather is good, the scenery is beautiful, the locals are easy to get along with, and the culture is rich, which is quite suitable for long-term study and life.
In addition,
at Blue Mountains, you only need to study for another 9 months to get a bachelor's degree, while going elsewhere might take longer, which is also one of the reasons that prompted me to choose Blue Mountains.HM is one of the most influential hotel management publications in the Asia-Pacific region, and Blue Mountains has been featured on its cover multiple times

Q
What are your impressions of the Leura campus and the Sydney campus of Blue Mountains?
A
On the way from the airport to the Leura campus with the teacher, my biggest feeling was that the air here is really fresh, and there is vegetation everywhere, which is very suitable for studying and relaxing.
The Leura campus
is not very big, butthe facilities are complete, and it's very convenient for eating, living, and studying. Moreover, the teachers are very friendly, and they organized a five-day Orientation Week for us before the start of the school year, allowing us to get to know each other and familiarize ourselves with the campus and the surrounding area.As for the
Sydney campusit's located in thecity center, with convenient transportation and a more diverse campus. The residences around the Leura campus

Q
Do you have any particularly favorite courses or teachers?
A
My favorite teacher is Dr. Mao, and I am honored to have Dr. Mao's courses at both the Leura and Sydney campuses. Dr. Mao is not only knowledgeable but also very approachable, often sharing his
industry experiences and life storieswith us, helping us better grasp the knowledge of hotel management. Every time I attend his class, I feel that time flies too fast. The classroom at Blue Mountains

Q
How do you usually spend your weekends and holidays?
A
At the
Leura campuson weekends, I usually gocycling and hiking around the Blue Mountains with classmates, where there are fewer people and the air is very fresh, allowing us to fully enjoy nature. While at the
Sydney campusI take advantage of the weekends to explore various cuisines andenjoy urban life. It must be said that Sydney really has a lot of restaurants, and among them, there are many authentic exotic cuisines!During some longer holidays, I usually go for a walk on the nearby
beaches, or visit the localzoos and aquariums, where you can see a variety of animals!Cycling with classmates

I hope everyone can relax appropriately to maintain physical and mental health, make friends from all over the world, cherish this wonderful time, and you will gain a lot!The campus at dusk
