Tonight, the Chinese Women's Football Team will play an exciting friendly football match with the Australian Women's Football Team⚽️. This match is the first time in five years that the Australian Women's Football Teamfirst timehas played in Adelaide, and it is also their last match before participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics.



This high-level football event has brought infinite anticipation and enthusiasm to Adelaide,Adelaide University Soccer Club(Adelaide University Soccer Club, abbreviated as AUSC)an important partof local football, is actively participating in the celebration of this football event.

Adelaide University Soccer Club (AUSC) was established in 1935 and is one of the oldest and most successful clubs at the University of Adelaide.

AUSC is committed to promoting the development of football, especially focusing on the development of women's football and youth football. The club established a women's football team in 1978 and currently has 18 women's teams, covering various levels of youth and teenagers, providing rich training and competition opportunities for players of different ages and levels.

Her story with AUSC


Emily Li enrolled at the University of Adelaide in 2019, starting asix-yearmedical undergraduate and master's program. In her first year in Adelaide, she stayed at Lincoln College, a student accommodation college, and there she got to know AUSC.



From a football enthusiast to first coming into contact with AUSC with friends, Emily quickly fell in love with the club. Since then, she has actively participated in the club's activities every Monday and Wednesday, and it has beenthe sixth yearnow.



AUSC provides rich support for its members. Coaches pay great attention to our personalized development, providing feedback and improvement suggestions based on the team members' performance. In addition, AUSC also offers flexible training schedules to help players balance study and training.


Besides football training,

AUSC also regularly organizessocial activities,

enhancing the cohesion among members!



Emily mentioned that the club'sannual Presentation Nightis one of the most memorable events for her. At the evening, members dressed up and toasted. This is not only a great opportunity to relax but also a wonderful moment to make friends andenhance mutual friendship.


AUSC members come from all over the world, bringing rich cultural diversity to the club. Although there are sometimes wonderful cultural collisions, football, as a universal language, helps everyone overcome these barriers.



Emily is currently in her final year of internship in her medical course. She plans to stay in Adelaide for employment in the medical field after completing her studies and hopes to find a balance between medicine and football in the future. She said:


Football is not only my hobby but also an important way for me to relieve study pressure and maintain physical and mental health.



Emily's advice to juniors

Be brave to try and participate


Joining the club does not require any football experience, as long as you are interested in football and willing to participate and try, you can join AUSC. Many people had no experience when they first came into contact with football, but through hard work and training, they have made great progress. The club is very supportive of all members, whether in personal training or in relieving academic pressure, making full use of these resources can help you better integrate.

Emily's advice to juniors

Actively participate in social activities and utilize media platforms


Pay more attention to the club's information on Facebook and the official website and other social media to understand the club's activities and dynamics. Besides training, the club also regularly organizes social activities, which are good opportunities to meet new friends and enhance team cohesion. Club members come from different cultural backgrounds, and after joining, you will have the opportunity to understand and learn different cultures, enriching your campus life.

Thursday: Experience of 40 sports clubs

The activity is open to everyone, free to participate. From football to fencing, from judo to volleyball... every week there will be a new sport for everyone to explore and try.

Friday: Social sports games

The activity is open to everyone, free to participate, no registration required. Including lawn throwing sandbag game, badminton, Finska throwing game, etc.
