Official Registration Steps

Step 1:Activate Your La Trobe Account

The university will send a temporary password to the email you used to apply to La Trobe. Please use this temporary password and your username to log in and reset to a memorable password.

💡Important things to say three times! Please note: From now on, it's very important to always check and use yourstudent emailfor communication with the university.

Step 2:Log in to StudentOnLine and Confirm Information

Log in to StudentOnLine, confirm and update your personal information, including address, emergency contact information, citizenship information, cultural details, and educational background.

Step 3:Contact Your Study Advisor

Your course advisor can help you understand the course structure, select and register for subjects, set goals, and manage time.

Step 4:Register for Courses

Follow the steps on our registration support webpage to complete your registration. Students holding a student visa must understand and comply with the study requirements stipulated by the visa. Register for compulsory non-credit online modules, including academic integrity, indigenous understanding, and respectful behavior culture.

Course Selection Tips

Find your course structure (or 'study plan') in the university handbook by searching for your course name or code (found in your offer letter).

If you are a new undergraduate student, La Trobe's Study Plan Guides tool can help you plan your course registration.

Step 5:Create Course Schedule

Select your course schedule in the Allocate+ system. Your subjects will appear in Allocate+ about one hour after registration. Allocate+ has two modes: preference selection mode and adjustment mode.

Step 6:Actively Participate in Orientation Activities

Participate in online pre-departure and arrival orientation activities in June and July. Use the orientation planner to learn about various orientation activities and create a personalized orientation plan.

Course Registration Meetup: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Club Carnival: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

International Student Meetup: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
