In 2023, the Australian National University China Center was launchedANU Academic Talks ANU Academic TalksA series of activities, looking forward to presenting ANU'scutting-edge research and complex theories to young students and scholars through easy-to-understand text and more comprehensible explanations. We help students discover the charm of scientific research, feel the joy of academic discussion, and cultivate the interest and enthusiasm of the younger generation in scientific research through this method.

2024Academic Lecture Hall Serieswill be launched again. In the next six months, the seven colleges of ANU will share cutting-edge research results with everyone, discuss major international issues, bring everyone closer to the world of scientific research, and further understand ANU's academic achievements. It is hoped that the Academic Lecture Hall will help students who are about to study in Australia choose the most suitable major, determine the direction of future development, and guide them to go further on the academic path.

The first lecture will be jointly presented by the ANU China Center and one of the seven colleges of ANUCollege of Asia and the Pacific(ANU College of Asia and the Pacific). From the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, Strategic and Defence Studies Centre of ANU,Associate Professor Amy Kingwill bring an in-depth discussion on the topic of China and the changing world. __k22

Her research has been supported by the Australian Research Council DECRA Fellowship and the Westpac Research Fellowship, and she is currently leading a team to explore how China plays a role in the international economic order.

The Australian National University (ANU) College of Asia and the Pacific currently offers the following five undergraduate courses:

1.Bachelor of Asian Studies: This course enables students to master Asian languages, gain an in-depth understanding of the region, and develop strong analytical skills. Students will study Asia through a multidisciplinary perspective including history, culture, economics, and politics.


2.Bachelor of Pacific Studies: This course provides students with a theoretical framework to understand the diversity, history, and contemporary issues of Oceania, cultivating their ability to take on leadership roles in this rapidly changing dynamic region.


3.Bachelor of International Security Studies: This course helps students master analytical skills and gain an in-depth understanding of the security challenges facing the world today, especially security threats in the Asia-Pacific region, including military power, civil wars, cybercrime, environmental degradation, and food security.


4. Bachelor of Asia Pacific Affairs & Bachelor of Global Liberal Arts: This is a dual degree program in collaboration with Ritsumeikan University, where students will study in Australia and Japan respectively, gain an in-depth understanding of the Asia-Pacific region, and obtain degrees from both universities.


5. Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) – Humanities and Social Sciences: This course provides students with the opportunity to quickly enter research, business, or policy leadership positions, and is a structured interdisciplinary degree program.
