To ensure our new students' orientation experience is as seamless as possible, please assist us to make sure your students are aware of these key dates:

New rules for quota course selection
La Trobe University has a number of highly competitive courses with a limited number of places. This means that although a student may meet the minimum entry requirements for the course, this does not guarantee selection.
La Trobe University’s selection process for these courses (listed below) is as follows:
- There will be four selection rounds a year: January, April, July & September.
- All applications received before the 1st of each of these months will be assessed on merit, with selection made that month.
- La Trobe University will make unconditional, conditional & provisional offers after each selection round.
- Some applicants may not be offered a place but retained until the next selection round.
- Offer holders will have two weeks to accept their offer before it lapses.
- An acknowledgement of receipt of application will be sent to the student.
- There will be no offers made outside of these rounds for the identified courses below.

- All other courses will be open with rolling offers made to eligible applicants.
