Last weekend, the University of Queensland successfully held information days and alumni and friends receptions in Shanghai and Beijing. Let's review the highlights of the events together!


UQ China Information Day

At the information day event, Jogvan Klein, Director of International Admissions and International Admissions Center at the University of Queensland, first delivered an opening speech, kicking off the event.
Then, Professor Deborah Terry, President of the University of Queensland, introduced the overview of the University of Queensland to everyone.
"I am very happy to meet so many new students and their families here today to learn about the University of Queensland. Let me give you a brief introduction. The University of Queensland is located in Brisbane, Australia, with four beautiful campuses and various off-campus facilities. We are proud of our teaching level, which ranks among the top in the world university rankings, offering a rich and diverse range of 390 undergraduate and postgraduate courses. We are committed to providing public benefits to society through excellent education and research, and have established close cooperative relationships with China, with over 12,200 Chinese students and 240 faculty members. Our alumni have achieved outstanding achievements in various fields, and today we are fortunate to invite some outstanding alumni to share their experiences. I hope you can communicate with them during the event to gain a deeper understanding of the University of Queensland and the opportunities we offer. Looking forward to meeting again in Brisbane!"

UQ Alumni and Friends Reception

At the University of Queensland Alumni and Friends Reception held in the evening, the President of the University of QueenslandProfessor Deborah Terryshared the latest developments in various fields of UQ. Including but not limited to:
John Williams, the Australian Consul-General in Shanghai, was also invited to attend the reception and delivered a speech.Mr. Williams is also an alumnus of the University of Queensland.Benefiting from Australia's high-quality education, alumni have formed a network of current and future outstanding leaders, with a deep understanding of the diversity of contemporary Australia.
