University of WollongongUOWHas multiple campuses in Australia.Besides the main campus in Wollongong, in New South Wales, we also haveLiverpoolLiverpool campus.The campus is located in the heart of Liverpool, providing students with convenience and a top-notch teaching environment.Although not in a big city, in the eyes of some students, this is a very pleasant campus to study, giving them all they need to achieve their academic dreams.
Christina Tran is currently a student at UOW Liverpool and will graduate at the end of 2024. Since enrolling in the Bachelor of Business-International Studies program here in 2021, she has been deeply attracted by the location of the campus. Besides being close to home, more importantly, it has opened a new world for Christina. In her view, the UOW Liverpool campus is more like a community than just a university campus. This has given Christina more different experiences and attempts beyond studying. So, in her eyes, what is the perfect campus of UOW Liverpool?

During her study atthe Liverpool campus,Christinareceived threeNew ColomboPlan grants, including two online programs at Korea University and Soochow University, and a partially funded study tour to Japan in2023.
Christina said, 'I could experience two different cultures in the comfort of my room. Although these were online due to the pandemic, not as I initially wished, I later found them still very engaging and immersive. For this reason, I did a second online project with Soochow University.'
After that, the short exchange in Japan became her most innovative and beautiful memory during her degree semester.
Christina recalled her exchange in Japan: 'I participated in a series of cultural experiences and activities, learning a lot about Japanese academic and corporate culture. These experiences are still very valuable for future development.'

UOW Liverpool campus
Christinareally enjoys every day of studying in Liverpool, which gives her a sense of relaxation and ease. From getting up in the morning, she takes public transport to the university and stops at a local café for a coffee. After arriving on campus, besides classes,Christinausually attends tutorials or seminars.
Liverpool, as a small city near Sydney, does not require much time on the road every day, allowing Christina to better utilize her time for studying, expanding, and reviewing lecture notes. The leisurely and quiet atmosphere here allows her to think more calmly.

Christinabelieves that studying atUOWLiverpool campus has given her more opportunities. Outside the classroom, she has gained more personal and professional development opportunities. She holds two positions at the University of Wollongong, namely Student Engagement Officer and Student Services Officer, and she finds both positions very fulfilling, rewarding, and enjoyable.
She said: 'I have learned a lot. Interacting with students from different backgrounds and disciplines not only broadened my understanding of different cultures and perspectives,butalso gave me the opportunity to participate in shaping the campus, improving the student learning experience,and advocating for relevant measures to meet the needs and address the concerns of peers.The skills learned in this process are not only applicable to the roles I hold on campus but also to my academic research and future career.'

Located in Liverpool, New South Wales, one of the oldest regions in Australia, it is an important part of the Sydney metropolitan area, about 30 kilometers from the center of Sydney.
Currently, UOW Liverpool campus offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in several majors, including nursing, business and law, computer science and information technology, and social work and international studies, as well as related bridging courses at UOW College.
