Advocate for practical learning philosophy
At Curtin, we advocate for practical learning, providing you with the skills employers need. At the Perth campus, you will find various learning spaces that allow you to put theoretical knowledge into practice.
Our simulated clinical environments, as real learning scenarios, enable students to cultivate and apply their skills in fields such as nursing, occupational therapy, and pharmacy.Law students can conduct full agenda mock trials at the John Curtin Law Centre and the Jeanette Hacket Moot Court, thereby honing their defense and public speaking skills.
Additionally, we have various practical projects for different disciplines, such as simulated securities trading, engineering machinery operation, and early childhood education practice.

“
I only wanted to study nursing at Curtin University. The teaching method here emphasizes the combination of theory and practice, which is very helpful for my learning.
Looking back on the decision to come to Curtin University, it can be said that it is the best choice I have made in my life.
If I can give any advice to future students, I strongly recommend that they seek help as much as possible, whether from teachers, classmates, or the student services office, all of which can provide you with great support. The campus offers so much help and support, making our student life easier and more fulfilling.
