This is not only a great opportunity to showcase the city's cultural vitality but also to bring a rich and colorful festival experience to everyone through various celebration ceremonies, dance performances, and food events.
Canberra, this diverse city, has always embraced people from China and other parts of Asia with open arms. Therefore, the Lunar New Year here also has different names, for example, in Vietnam, it is called Tết, and in Korea, it is called Seollal.
Canberra's Lunar New Year celebrations
In many regions of East and Southeast Asia, the Lunar New Year is an important festival to celebrate the start of the new year. It begins with the first new moon of the lunar calendar, and each new moon changes through the calculation of the moon's cycle.
