Please review the following important admission updates for the University of Southern Queensland's 2026 Bachelor of Nursing (BNSG) program.

This program is highly competitive with limited places available. There has been a sharp increase in interest in this program across the industry for 2026, with the same trend evident at UniSQ.

Bachelor of Nursing: Trimester 1, 2026 – February intake (commencing in February)

All places for the February 2026 intake are now full. As a result, no further offers or CoEs will be issued for this intake.
Applicants who have accepted an offer for the February intake but have not been allocated a place may be given the following options:

  • Defer their application to the May 2026 intake (Trimester 2)
  • Switch to another related program for the February 2026 intake (the university will provide a range of similar program options)
  • Cancel their UniSQ application and receive a full refund of any fees paid

Please have your office review the relevant applications and submit the applicants' choices by 11:59 PM (AEST) on November 7th.


Bachelor of Nursing: Trimester 2, 2026 – May intake (commencing in May)

Due to extremely high demand, please note that we will no longer accept new BNSG applications for the May 2026 intake.
Applications already in the pipeline will continue to be assessed, and results will be announced in the coming weeks.

Bachelor of Nursing: Trimester 3, 2026 – September intake (commencing in September)

We are not currently accepting applications for the September 2026 intake; once it opens, further information will be provided as soon as possible.

We are writing to provide an important update regarding admissions to the Bachelor of Nursing (BNSG) program for 2026. We will be updating the impacted applicants in the pipeline as outlined below, and are sharing this update to assist you in managing enquiries and providing advice on the options best suited to individual applicant’s circumstances.


You will be aware that this is a highly competitive program with limited places available. The sector has seen a steep increase in interest in this program for 2026, with this same pattern evident at UniSQ. As a result we have had to carefully review how best to proceed to ensure quality and integrity, while also managing the high level of interest in this offering.


Trimester 1, 2026 - February intake


The quota for the upcoming February 2026 intake has now been filled. As a result, no further acceptances or COEs will be issued for this intake. Applicants who accepted an offer for February commencement but were not allocated a place may be given the following options:


Defer their application to the May 2026 intake

Change to an alternative program for February 2026 commencement, with a range of aligned offerings available.

Cancel their UniSQ application and receive a full refund of any fees paid

Please review the applications submitted by your offices and indicate the applicants’ preference via Omega by 11:59pm (AEST), 7 November.
