His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom visited the University of Wollongong (UOW Dubai) Dubai campus during his visit to the UAE for COP28.

Prof Mohamed Salem, the President of UOW Dubai campus, students, and Her Excellency Heidi Venamore, the Australian Ambassador to the UAE, attended this meeting with the King.



Dr. Stephen Wilkinson, the Director of Research at UOW Dubai campus, and Sahil Shefeek, the Chairman of the SRC, also met His Majesty the King after participating in the roundtable discussion of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.


This event showcased practical solutions for eco-friendly urban development and the adoption of locally feasible technologies, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and joint efforts among sectors.
