Job Description

  • Examining drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine specifications
  • Selecting and working with materials such as timber, veneers, particle board and synthetic wood
  • Marking out, cutting and shaping wood
  • Working from drawings and specifications to make furniture
  • Making fittings for boats, caravans and other items where fine detail is required
  • Assembling parts to form sections of furniture and completed articles
  • Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers and shelves
  • Making frames for chairs and couches
  • May repair and refurbish furniture and antiques

Provisional Skills Assessment (PSA)

Eligibility Assessment

  • Hold a valid passport;
  • Complete an Australian qualification directly related to the nominated occupation (must be issued by an RTO registered on CRICOS);
  • PSA results are valid for 3 years.

Assessment Steps

  • Online Registration → Upload color scans of original documents (PDF) as guided → Pay fees → TRA Review → Results issued via email.

Assessment Requirements

  • 需持有与提名职业直接相关的澳大利亚资格证书(需提供证书及成绩单/学习记录,显示课程起止日期和课程结构)。
  • PSA不再要求提交360小时实习/见习证明(该要求已取消);审核重点转为身份验证和澳大利亚资格本身。
  • 无TRA独立英语成绩要求;签证阶段的英语要求按内政部对应签证标准执行(如Functional/Competent/Vocational等等级及对应考试)。
