Introduction
This visa is a spouse visa (also known as a partner visa, marriage visa, spouse immigration, etc.) submitted in Australia, which allows the de facto partner or spouse of Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents and eligible New Zealand citizens to immigrate to Australia and reunite with them. The 820 visa is the temporary residence stage of spouse immigration, also known as the first stage. Application Conditions
1.Visa record requirements:820 visa applicants must have no negative record of visa cancellation or visa application rejection;
2.Visa sponsor requirements:In most cases, the applicant's spouse or de facto partner, the sponsor, must be: an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident, or an eligible New Zealand citizen. In addition, the sponsor of the 820 visa must meet the following requirements:
- The 820 visa requires a sponsor both when applying and after approval;
- In most cases the sponsor is the partner of the principal applicant;
- The Immigration Bureau needs to review the guarantor's situation and approve his/her guarantee qualifications;
- The guarantor of the 820 visa cannot be changed. The guarantor must be the same person when the 820 is submitted and during the review process after submission (approximately 2 years).
3.Requirements for the relationship between visa applicant and sponsor:The applicant and the guarantor are registered in a marriage or de facto marriage relationship;
4.Age requirement for visa applicants:Married applicants must generally be 18 years of age or older;
5.Health requirements for visa applicants:Both the main applicant and secondary applicants must meet the health requirements of the Department of Home Affairs;
6.Character requirements for visa applicants:The main applicant, secondary applicants, and the sponsor must all meet the character requirements of the Department of Home Affairs;
7.The visa applicant must have no outstanding debts to the Australian Government;
8.The visa application must be in the best interests of the child.

Step 4820 Visa Grant
Once the interview is concluded, the Department of Home Affairs will grant the 820 visa. At this point, the applicant can legally reside in Australia, enjoy the same benefits and rights as Australian citizens, and will have the same status and treatment as their sponsor.
