This qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities.
At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management. Workers are usually providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals. Workers may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers and/or case management; program coordination or the development of new business opportunities.
Note that the Statutory & forensic child, youth & family welfare specialisation must be achieved in order to meet the minimum education requirements for child protection and youth justice practice in Victoria. In addition, to meet the minimum education requirements for entry into child protection practice in Victoria, diploma qualifications must be approved by the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA)
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 100 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.

When applying for RPL, how do I prove I have the relevant experience?
Applicants need to provide materials related to their work experience, such as: on-site work photos, videos, letters of recommendation, resume, etc. If you have had any relevant training or qualifications, you can provide those as well. The institution will comprehensively assess these materials to ensure the applicant meets the certificate requirements.

What happens if the certificate cannot be successfully issued after payment?
Before the formal submission, we will conduct a preliminary assessment of the application materials to ensure they meet the RPL requirements before proceeding. In the rare case that a certificate cannot be issued due to special circumstances, we will provide a full refund of the relevant fees, ensuring peace of mind for the applicant.

Can a qualification certificate obtained through RPL be used for a migration skills assessment?
Yes. Certificates obtained through RPL are issued by legitimate Australian RTOs and have the same validity as those obtained through traditional study pathways, making them usable for migration skills assessments. Compared to spending years completing a full-time course, RPL is more suitable for experienced applicants who wish to quickly obtain a qualification to submit their migration application sooner, which is particularly advantageous in the current climate of frequent policy changes.
