Please see below for updates from the University of New South Wales.

1. Undergraduate Programs

All undergraduate programs have closed new NOSC applications for the 2026 semester starting from Monday, November 17, 2025.
For courses that have reached capacity, the university will continue to evaluate applicants' other preferences (if applicable) based on the situation.

Due to high conversion rates, we are currently issuing a limited number of offers to existing applicants under the Grouped Offer Round policy for the following faculties:

  • UNSW Business School
  • Faculty of Engineering
  • Faculty of Law & Justice
  • Faculty of Medicine & Health
  • Faculty of Science

Faculty of Arts, Design & ArchitectureAll courses will no longer issue further offers to applicants.

Non-NOSC applicants (including sponsored students), applicants from recognized pathway programs, and students currently enrolled at UNSW College and continuing their studies are not affected by the above closure policy.

Provided they meet the admission requirements, these applicants will continue to receive offers.

2. Postgraduate Programs

Postgraduate program applications continue to grow rapidly, with some courses nearing capacity. Therefore, the university has closed NOSC student applications for the following courses as of Monday, January 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM (AEDT):

  • All courses in the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture
  • All courses in the Faculty of Engineering (except for the Master of Information Technology and related courses)
  • All courses in the Faculty of Science

The university will continue to process existing applications and issue offers if spots are still available.

UNSW Business School, as well as the Faculty of Law & Justice and Faculty of Medicine & Health, remain open to all new applicants.

Additionally, the Master of Information Technology and related courses will continue to accept applications under the Grouped Offer Round mechanism.
We encourage students to submit complete application materials as early as possible to improve processing efficiency and success rates.

Non-NOSC applicants (including sponsored students) are still not affected by the closure policy and will continue to receive offers provided they meet the admission requirements.
