This is a reminder: Applications for the Master of Applied Research at Mitchelle Institute are now open (for onshore applicants in Australia only).
Mitchelle Institute is currently focusing on five core research areas and will offer a limited number of positions for researchers to participate in related research work. Applicants need to select one direction from the existing research projects, further deepen the research content based on this, and gradually develop it into their own research topic.Applicants need to choose from the following five core research areasselect one.
Successful applicants will be matched with adedicated supervisorfrom Mitchelle Institute, who will provide academic guidance and supervision throughout the research process.
Research project directions:
- Participation of disadvantaged groups in higher education
- Research on participation differences between STEM disciplines and social sciences and humanities disciplines
- Research on pathways into higher education for diverse learners
- Research on qualification pathways leading to careers in early childhood education
- Exploratory research on individual low socioeconomic status index in higher education
Entry requirements (Entry Criteria):
- Completion of an Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent), regardless of professional background, with an average grade of Distinction (or equivalent) in the final year
- IELTS overall score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0 (or equivalent English score)
Application process (Application Process):
1. Initial application submission
When submitting the application, please be sure to select and prepare the following content:
- Course code: URAP-AER8012 (Master of Applied Research)
- Supervisor: Nina Van Dyke
- Research proposal: No requirement to submit a Research Proposal at the application stage
Required materials include:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- 200-word personal statement (please fill out the specified form)
- Academic transcripts and graduation certificates
- IELTS or equivalent English scores (if the applicant has completed previous studies in a recognized English-speaking country, it may be considered as meeting the English requirement)
2. Follow-up contact by Mitchelle Institute
Applicants who pass the preliminary assessment will be proactively contacted by Mitchelle Institute for more in-depth discussions on the research direction and to explain the subsequent process arrangements.
