1. Undergraduate health programs have lowered their requirements

For undergraduate International ATAR entry requirements, popular Allied Health courses such as PT, OT, speech therapy, and podiatry havereduced the entry score requirements.


2. Undergraduate podiatry

The only university in Sydney offering this course, requiring only ATAR 75, with no additional EAL or IELTS/PTE requirements, a brand-new track with less competition, more opportunities, and a large market.

It is one of the Allied Health professions with the most complete prescribing authority, closest to that of a doctor.


3. Undergraduate nursing

The English writing test requirements for undergraduate and master's nursing have been adjusted toIELTS writing 6.5 or PTE writing 58, other band scores remain unchanged. The undergraduate quota for 2026 is as follows.

4. Master of Social Work offers July intake

Master of Social Work has added a 2026 S2 intake (Bridging courses currently only have S2 intake)

Students who complete an Australian undergraduate degree or a one-year master's within 5 years can be exempted from the master's language requirements.


5. WSU Regional Bonus, studying or living in the Greater Western region, can add 5 points, and can be stacked with Subject Bonus, up to 10 points.
