Please see the following updates from the University of Melbourne.

1. Updated Undergraduate Entry Scores for 2026

The university has updated the admission requirements for undergraduate courses for 2026 entry.

The University of Melbourne has adjusted the updated minimum entry score requirements for international students for the following undergraduate courses:

The latest minimum score standards have been published on the university'sRecognized International Qualifications official website. If a course does not list a minimum score, the currentGuaranteed score or Indicative scorestill applies.

All existing and future undergraduate applications for 2026 entry will be assessed uniformly according to the updated score standards.
Applicants who already hold a Conditional Offer for the above courses have received relevant notifications. Please note that the university will not reissue new conditional offer letters.


2. Updated English Language Requirements

The University of Melbourne recently updated its English language requirements webpage, with the following updates made by the university:

  • Updated equivalent score standards for recognized English proficiency tests, including TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, and Cambridge
  • Newly recognized English test types: LanguageCert Academic, Michigan English Test (MET), IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR)


3. Information Related to Postgraduate Applications

1. Conditional CoE Process for Mid-year 2026 Entry

The university has established a new process for mid-year 2026 entry, allowing eligible applicants to obtain an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) while holding a conditional offer, to ensure students can apply for student visas in a timely manner.

2. Mid-year Entry Updates for Master of Teaching

The following Master of Teaching courses are now open for mid-year (July) 2026 entry:

  • Master of Teaching (Early Childhood)
  • Master of Teaching (Early Childhood & Primary)
  • Master of Teaching (Secondary)


Students can now submit applications for July 2026 entry through the application system, with applications open until March 31, 2026.
Please note: Master of Teaching (Primary) does not offer mid-year entry.


3. Master of Learning Intervention Updates

Starting from 2026 entry, the Master of Learning Intervention will be taught entirely online for international students.
Please note: Students enrolled in this program will not receive a CoE required for studying in Australia.

4. Comprehensive Updates

Parkville Metro Station Officially Opened

The Melbourne Metro Tunnel is now officially open, allowing students to directly access the University of Melbourne via the new Parkville Station. Faster commutes to the city center and better connections to Southbank and the arts district will provide students with a more convenient and interconnected learning experience.
