I. Course Overview
- Duration: 1 year
- Intakes: February, July
- Scholarships: 20% tuition reduction for the February 2026 intake; during the first year of the bachelor's degree, scholarships of 10%–30% are available based on the Weighted Average Mark (WAM) from the diploma course.
- Delivery: Block Model - study one course every 4 weeks, focusing on one unit at a time.
- This course lasts for 1 year and serves as an open pathway to various Bachelor of Education degrees.
II. Articulable Bachelor Degrees Include:
Upon completion of this diploma, students can receive 1 year of credit exemptions and directly enter the second year of the following bachelor's programs (studied at the Melbourne campus):
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
- Bachelor of Education (P–12) - can lead to secondary teacher certification
- Bachelor of Education Studies
- Bachelor of Arts
III. Entry Requirements
- Academic: Completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent qualification;
- English: IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no band less than 6.0, or equivalent score;
- Note: Students applying through VTAC (Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre) must meet EAL and IELTS/PTE requirements. If a student does not have an official English score, an English Placement Test can be arranged.
IV. Pathway Option for Students Who Do Not Meet Direct Entry Requirements - Available Packaged Offer
If a student does not currently meet the direct entry requirements for this course but wishes to eventually obtain a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education degree, they can choose the following packaged model:
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care - 1 year
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care - 1 year
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education - 2 years
- Entry Requirements for this Package: Age: Must be at least 18 years old by the course start date; Academic: Completion of Australian Year 11 or equivalent qualification; English: IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5, or equivalent level; For onshore students, if they have completed two years of full-time secondary or higher education, they are deemed to meet the English requirements and do not need to provide an IELTS score.
Additionally, students with VCE Unscored or VCE VM results can also apply for this packaged course immediately.
