1. Important Admission Policy Updates

The undergraduate application deadline for the 2026 academic year has been extended to November 30. The international application deadline for the following undergraduate programs has been extended to November 30, 2025:


Bachelor of Agriculture

Bachelor of Arts

Bachelor of Biomedicine

Bachelor of Commerce

Bachelor of Design

Bachelor of Oral Health

Bachelor of Science

Please note that the following programs are not included in the extension due to their special selection processes:

Bachelor of Fine Arts

Bachelor of Music

It is strongly recommended that students apply as early as possible to ensure sufficient time to meet admission conditions and obtain a student visa.


2. Hawthorn Language Center Packaged CoE Matters


Reminder: Students enrolled in Hawthorn–Melbourne language programs must upload the following when applying for a packaged University of Melbourne CoE:

1. A copy of the Hawthorn–Melbourne CoE;

2. Proof of tuition deposit payment or funding proof (if applicable).

If the above two documents are not submitted together, a conditional CoE cannot be issued.


3. Brazilian ENEM Scores Now Recognized as Direct Entry Qualification


The University of Melbourne has updated undergraduate admission requirements for students from Brazil: Effective immediately, the Brazilian National High School Exam (Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio, ENEM) will be recognized as one of the direct entry qualifications for the University of Melbourne (students must have completed the Brazilian national high school curriculum). Additionally, students must meet one of the following requirements: achieve the minimum total AP exam score requirement; or meet the minimum SAT/ACT standardized test score requirement; and also fulfill the prerequisite requirements for the program.

4. Postgraduate Application Information


1. International postgraduate application deadline extended: The application deadline for many postgraduate programs starting in 2026 has been extended. Please check the specific program page to confirm if applications are still open.

2. Melbourne Business School programs are now open for enrollment:

Full-time MBA: Australia's number one MBA program, designed for career acceleration, leadership development, and global opportunities.

Master of Business Analytics: A one-year intensive program that develops students' skills in data, technology, and business, which are in high global demand.


3. Melbourne School of Design has added new postgraduate scholarships: For students about to enroll in postgraduate programs.

Design Graduate Merit Scholarship: 10% tuition fee reduction, awarded to outstanding international students enrolling in postgraduate programs, with up to 50 awards given annually. This scholarship is added on top of the existing MSD scholarship system, including:

Design Graduate Pathway Scholarship: Provides a 10% tuition fee reduction for outstanding students progressing from a Bachelor of Design to a postgraduate program.

Design Global Graduate Scholarship: Provides a 20% tuition fee reduction for international students from countries with limited economic conditions.


4. Graduate School of Education English language requirements updated: Starting from the 2026 academic year, the English requirements for the following Graduate School of Education programs will change: Master of Education, Master of TESOL, and various Master of Teaching programs. The new admission requirements are as follows:


New English requirements for Master of Education / Master of TESOL (UoM Band): Overall score 6.5, with no band less than 6.0

New English requirements for Master of Teaching (Early Childhood/Primary/Secondary streams) (UoM Band): Overall score 7+, Writing and Reading 7.0, Speaking and Listening 7.5

New English requirements for Master of Teaching (Early Childhood Education stream) (UoM Band): Overall score 7+, with no band less than 7.0

All admission offers for relevant programs starting in February 2026 will be issued based on the new (lower) English requirements.
