Victoria University (VU) offers a 20% scholarship for research courses starting in February 2026.



I. Master of Applied Research and PhD Integrated - For applicants with no background required

ForMaster of Applied Research Master of Applied Research andPhD Integrated PhD Integrated — (Designed for applicants with no research background)

In theEarly Childhood and Businessfields, VU only requires:

  • Resume (CV) — Highlight educational background and work experience relevant to early childhood education or related fields (Education, Arts, Psychology, etc.)
  • Expression of Interest (EOI) — 1-2 pages, including: Your research questions, objectives, and research field, The importance of the research (research problem, knowledge gaps, theoretical/practical significance)
  • Optional content: Explain how your project relates to existing literature (5-10 academic references, approximately 200-300 words)
  • Optional content: Proposed methodology and research techniques (approximately 400 words)
  • Important note: The expression of interest must be your own original work and clearly express why you are interested in this field — No AI writing allowed!

Once applicants have their CV and EOI ready, they can submit the application immediately, and the faculty will help match them with a suitable research supervisor.



II.Master of Research or PhD - For applicants with research background

If applicants have a research background, they can apply for Master of Research or PhD

This type of application requires submission of a full research proposal. Please refer to the following link for the application process:

For the February 2026 intake, we can accept applications from onshore students until mid-January 2026

  1. For Master of Applied Research and PhD Integrated (designed for non-research background applicants) in the field of Early Childhood and Business, we only require:
    • CV — Highlight education & work relevant to ECE or related fields (Education, Art, Psychology, etc.)
    • Expression of Interest (EOI) — 1-2 pages, including: Your research questions, aims, and research field, Why this research is important (research problem, knowledge gaps, practical/theoretical benefits)
      • Optional:How your project connects to existing literature (5-10 scholarly refs, ~200-300 words)
      • Optional:Proposed methodology and research techniques (~400 words)

Important: The expression of interest must be your own work and clearly show why you're interested in this area — no AI writing! Once the applicants have CV and EOI ready, they can submit the application now and the faculty will help to find a suitable research supervisor. Please reach out to the onshore team for assistance.
