1. 2026 T1 Master of Psychology (Clinical)
Please note that the H750 Master of Psychology (Clinical) (060023G) course will adopt new admission criteria starting from the first semester of 2026.
All students applying for this course must now submit the Casper assessment along with their application.
Students who have already applied for this course will be contacted by our international admissions team and informed that they need to complete the Casper assessment for their application to be considered.
2. VTAC Update
International applicants can now select and specify their agent in the system via a dropdown list.
Applicants can choose different agents for each course preference.
Although this step is no longer mandatory, VTAC will follow up to ensure that applications are correctly matched with agents.
3. International Student Pre-Arrival Online Briefing (2025 Trimester 3)
The international student online briefing will provide essential information and resources to help them transition smoothly to studying in Australia and at Deakin.
The briefing will have multiple sessions: the next one will be held on September 25, followed by sessions on October 9 and October 23.

4. Course Recommendation:Master of Counselling (Consider for those rejected from the Master of Clinical Psychology)
Embark on a meaningful career helping others and improving mental health.
With the increasing global and Australian emphasis on the importance of mental health, the demand for professional counselling talent continues to grow.
Regardless of whether students come from backgrounds in healthcare, education, social work, or other fields, this course will equip them with everything they need to become confident professional counsellors.
Course Features:
- Real-world practical experience: Students will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds and ages during a 200-hour internship.
- Internship content includes independent face-to-face counselling, non-face-to-face activities, supervised teaching, and collaboration with other mental health professionals. This prepares them for future supervisory, leadership, and management roles.
- Specialization and flexibility: Students will delve into areas such as trauma, grief, sex and gender, relationship counselling, and group counselling, covering both traditional and modern methods (including online/remote counselling).
- Professional accreditation: This course is accredited by the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
