Adelaide University

Please see the following updates from the new University of Adelaide.
1. Adelaide 'Be The First' Welcome Grant
We have introduced the Adelaide 'Be The First' Welcome Grant, valued at AUD 2,000, for eligible international students. This is an important and pioneering initiative designed to support the first cohort of students enrolling at the University of Adelaide in 2026, helping to alleviate the financial pressures caused by the recent increase in Australian student visa fees, while encouraging students to accept their offers early during the upcoming peak period.
Eligibility:
Students must accept their offer of admission from the University of Adelaide by the following dates:
- October 31, 2025 – for students commencing in Semester 1, 2026
- March 31, 2026 – for students commencing in Semester 2, 2026
The grant will be disbursed after the census date of the student's first semester.
If students accept their offer well after these dates, they may not be eligible for the grant, but some flexibility will be given to students located in Australia.
We appreciate your assistance in promoting this opportunity to students and encouraging them to take advantage of this valuable grant.
*Please see the attachment for specific requirements of the grant.
