I. English Language Requirements Update: IELTS One Skill Retake and Changes to Nursing and Midwifery Requirements

Flinders University has officially approved the acceptance of IELTS One Skill Retake as a way to meet the English language requirements for admission to all courses. This positive update provides students with the opportunity to choose a more flexible and convenient testing method.

Additionally, we have recently updated the English language requirements for nursing and midwifery programs to comply with AHPRA registration standards.

These changes take effect immediately and apply to all applications, including those for the October 2025 intake.

II. Apply Quickly! The October 2025 Intake Is Filling Up Fast

Students can study selected Business, Social Work, or Information Technology courses at Flinders this October.

• Flexible mid-year entry
• Start studies early
• Receive expert teaching in high-demand fields
• Have the opportunity to save on costs before visa fees increase in 2026

This intake is open to new applicants and current applicants who missed the July commencement.

IV. 50% Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship Application Deadline Approaching

Flinders' Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship provides a 50% reduction in tuition fees (covering the entire study period) for students with outstanding academic achievements and a sense of social responsibility.

This scholarship is part of the Flinders Go Beyond Scholarships system, designed to recognize international students with excellent academic performance and the potential to make positive contributions to Flinders and the global community.

Application deadline: Friday, November 14, 2025

V. Exclusive Offers for The Switch Student Accommodation

English Language Requirements Update: IELTS One Skill Retake and changes to Nursing and Midwifery

Flinders University has officially approved the use of IELTS One Skill Retake to meet the English language requirements for admission purposes for all of our courses. This positive update provides students with more flexibility and convenience in choosing a subjective test that will suit their needs.

Additionally, we have recently updated our English language requirements for nursing and midwifery courses to stay in line with AHPRA registration requirements.

These changes are effective immediately, which includes applications for our October, 2025 intake.

Please take the time to familiarise yourself with these new changes.

Apply quick, our October, 2025 intake is filling up fast!

Students can start studying this October at Flinders in selected Business, Social Work, or Information Technology courses. With flexible mid-year entry, students can begin sooner, gain expert teaching in high-demand fields, and potentially save on visa fees before they rise in 2026.

This intake is extended to both new applicants, and existing applicants who missed the July commencement.
