1. 2026 Admission Process

As the Semester 2, 2025 admissions cycle draws to a close, we would like to update you on the admissions for the 2026 academic year.

  • Unconditional offers for most programs are being issued on a rolling basis
  • However, due to high demand and limited capacity in some popular majors, these programs have switched to scheduled offer rounds for issuing offers.

Below is the list of high-demand courses for 2026 S1 that have entered the batch offer process:

  • Once students meet the conditions for an unconditional offer, they will be placed on a waitlist and receive an offer in the scheduled rounds.
  • If your students have applied for these majors but have not yet received an offer, rest assured that their applications are still under active review.

How to check if an application is on the waitlist

  1. Log in to the Agent Portal using your registered agent account
  2. Go to the Manage applications page and select Search applications
  3. Enter the student ID to view the report
  4. In the “Application status” column, if it shows Quota course waitlisted, it means the course has limited capacity and the application is on the waitlist.


2. Increase in Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship (VCIS) Amount

The Sydney Future Students (SFS) team announced that VCIS scholarship funding has been increased, with awardees receiving up to AUD 60,000.

  • Awarded and issued in rounds

4. Key Course Information (Undergraduate)

1 Bachelor of Psychology

  • Starting from 2026, this 3-year Bachelor of Psychology will open for Semester 2 intake.
  • Applications for 2026 S2 and 2027 S2 are now being accepted.

2 Bachelor of Oral Health

  • Due to administrative adjustments requiring TEQSA approval, application processing is temporarily suspended.
  • No impact on the course setup
  • Processing is expected to resume by the end of September, during which applications can be submitted and evaluated, but no offers will be issued.


3 Reminder for Final Document Submission for Undergraduate SAP

  • Students who have received unconditional offers for 2025 S2 through UG SAP need to submit official final documents to complete the assessment.
  • If the offer is contingent on the high school diploma, please submit it as soon as possible.
  • If the offer is based on GCE A Level predicted scores, please submit the official results immediately upon release.
  • Important score release dates: Cambridge: August 16, 2025 Pearson: August 14, 2025 AQA: August 14, 2025


4 Sydney International Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship (SIUAES)

  • Up to 40 full-tuition scholarship spots are available annually for top students from various backgrounds: Sydney International Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship
  • Online application required
  • Past awardees come from: Bangladesh, China, Germany, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Norway, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam


6. Key Course Information (Postgraduate)


Master of Education

As mentioned in our previous admissions updates, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) is completing administrative adjustments for 2026 intake.

Applications for this program will be temporarily suspended until the new CRICOS information officially takes effect.
It is understood that this update is expected to be completed by the end of September 2025, after which students can apply for the program.


Final Confirmation of SAP/OSAP Process – Reminder for Final Document Submission

Students who have received unconditional offers for Semester 2, 2025 through SAP or OSAP must submit final official documents before the semester starts.
Please assist in following up on students' document submissions so we can complete the admissions process in a timely manner.


Courses with Early Deadlines for International Students in Semester 1, 2026
The following courses have earlier application deadlines, with international student applications closing on July 31, 2025.

8. Release Dates for Australian Local Year 12 Qualification Scores

It is expected that Year 12 scores and International Baccalaureate (IB) scores from all Australian states will be received and processed before the release of admission results on December 23, 2025.



9. A-Level and New Zealand NCEA Score Release Dates

  • A-Level based admission results are expected to be released on January 9, 2026
  • New Zealand NCEA based admission results are expected to be released on January 23, 2026

Offer process for 2026

As we approach the final stages of Semester 2, 2025 admissions cycle, we’d like to provide an important update regarding the release of offers for the 2026 academic year.

Unconditional offers for most programs in the 2026 intake are currently being issued on a rolling basis. However, due to high demand and limited capacity in select areas, several programs have transitioned to a scheduled offer round process.

Below is the list of high-demand programs that have now commenced offer rounds for Semester 1, 2026. Students who become eligible for an unconditional offer will be placed on a waitlist, with offers released during scheduled rounds.

If your students have applied to one of the listed programs and have not yet received an outcome, please be assured that their applications are still under active consideration.


How to check the application is on a waitlist when a course has limited capacity

  1. Log in to the Agent Portal using your registered credentials.
  2. Navigate to the 'Manage applications' page and select the ‘Search applications’ option.
  3. Type in the Student ID and view the report.
  4. Check the status under the column heading “Application status” and it will be displaying the following:Quota course waitlisted

Increase to Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship (VCIS)

The Recruitment team in Sydney Future Students (SFS) has recently announced that they have secured increased funding for the VCIS. Students can now receive up to $60,000 when awarded a VCIS. No separate application is necessary for the VCIS and students are ranked and offered in rounds. For more information on the scholarship and the offer rounds,see hereor contact your relevantregional manager.

2026 International guide

The 2026 international guide is available digitally via the agent resourceshere. We will soon be confirming if you require printed versions before distributing to offices. This is part of our sustainability work in international and aligns with many of our partners’ approaches to sustainability too.

Other Key Course Information for the Coming Semester

Undergraduate

Bachelor of Psychology

The Faculty of Science has approved for the Bachelor of Psychology (3 years) to have a semester 2 intake from 2026 onwards.

Applications for semesters 2 2026 and 2027 are now open. If you have any student interested in commencing the degree mid-year, you can submit the application in our Portal.

Bachelor of Oral Health

Processing of applications for the Bachelor of Oral Health is currently paused due to an administrative change that must be approved by TEQSA. This change has no impact on the course offering or structure.

Application processing is expected to resume by the end of September - during this time, no new offers will be issued however, students can still apply and be assessed.

Reminder for finalising the UG SAP process - submission of final documents

Students who have received unconditional offers for Semester 2, 2025 via UG SAP are required to submit their final official documents to complete their application assessment.

Students who received an unconditional offer pending the High School Diploma must provide the document as soon as possible.

Students who received an unconditional offer with GCE A Level predicted scores must provide their official results as soon as they are released. Please see below the dates for you to follow up with your students.

  • Cambridge – 16th August 2025
  • Pearson – 14th August
  • AQA – 14th August

Sydney International Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship

A reminder that top performing students may be eligible to apply for theSydney International Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship(SIUAES). This is a unique scholarship in Australia offering up to 40 100% tuition free places per year to top performing students from various background studying across a range of degree programs.

To date we have had students from the following countries awarded SIUAES: Bangladesh, China, Germany, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Norway, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Taiwan, The Philippines and Vietnam.

Postgraduate

Master of Education

As mentioned in our previous Admissions update, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) continues to finalise their administrative changes for the 2026 intakes. Until the updated CRICOS is in place, we are pausing applications for the degree. We have been informed that the updates should be complete by the end of September 2025 to allow students to apply for these degrees.

Reminder for finalising the SAP/OSAP process - submission of final documents

Students who have received unconditional offers for Semester 2, 2025 via SAP or OSAP are required to submit their final official documents prior to the commencement of the intake.

We kindly ask you to follow up with your students regarding the submission of these documents to help us finalize the admissions process in a timely manner.

Courses with early closing dates for Semester 1, 2026, international students

The following courses had an earlier application deadline, and international applications were closed on 31stJuly 2025 for Semester 1, 2026.



International applications for Master of Diagnostic Radiography will be closed on 31 August 2025.

Key Dates

As of the latest available information, the Australian Government is still applying the NOSC threshold and visa processing prioritisation for student visa. Agents are encouraged to factor this into their advising and application planning to help manage student expectations.

Domestic Yr12 Qualification Release Dates

It is anticipated that all Australian State YR12 and International Baccalaureate results will be received and processed in time for the 23 December 2025 offer release.

A-Level based offers are planned for 9 January 2026 release with NZ NCEA based offers being released on 23 January 2026.
