1. 2026 Regular Admission Round Schedule (Applicable to Most Courses)

Currently, the application deadline remains four weeks before the proposed offer release date, but if conditions permit, the admissions team may also release offers earlier in earlier rounds.

UNSW (University of New South Wales) issues offers to international applicants for most courses on a weekly basis, alternating between undergraduate and postgraduate:

  • The full application deadline for each round is four weeks before the offer release
  • If there are vacancies, UNSW may release offers earlier
  • The validity policy of offers remains unchanged, applicable to full offers and conditional offers

2. 2026 Grouped Admission Round Mechanism – Exclusive to High-Demand Courses (Please refer to my previous notice for details)

To ensure a fair application process and provide more opportunities for high-quality students, UNSW will implement a new 'Grouped Admission Round' system in high-demand courses.

This system will apply to applicants for the following courses and their related programs:

  • Bachelor of Exercise Science / Master of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology
  • Bachelor of Commerce
  • Master of Laws
  • Master of Information Technology

Special Considerations Outside Grouped Offer Rounds (Out of Round Considerations)

  1. Students with scholarship funding or articulation background

If such students meet the minimum score of the most recent Grouped Offer round, they may be considered for an offer outside the round.

If the standard is not met, they will continue to be assessed in the next Grouped Offer round.

Such offers will not have an acceptance deadline.

2. Students from UNSW College

Including current students in Foundation, Diploma, and Pre-Masters programs, if applying to progress to high-demand courses at UNSW, are currently not included in the Grouped Offer Rounds mechanism.

However, they must meet the academic entry requirements of the target course to progress smoothly.

3. A very small number of outstanding applicants may receive exceptional admission

At some key academic result release times, if an applicant's academic performance is significantly higher than the average admission standard, the school may issue an admission notice outside the Grouped Offer.

Such cases are extremely rare and only apply to individual high-potential students.

Except for the above cases, most applicants will still need to be assessed according to the average ranking standard of the Grouped Offer round corresponding to the Intake.

3. Academic Ranking and Qualification Assessment Instructions

1 Postgraduate Applicants

Must have completed the relevant qualification, or be in the final year of completing their studies (at least 6 out of 8 semesters completed), to be assessed.

Please note:
Applicants who wish to submit applications in this way must have a WAM (Weighted Average Mark) that is 5 points higher than the official UNSW admission standard to be included in the priority assessment range.

If the applicant's 6/8 semester results do not meet the above requirements, their application will be 'on hold' and may receive an offer after uploading the final complete results.

2 Undergraduate Applicants

Must have completed and submitted a high school graduation qualification recognized by UNSW, or provide acceptable predicted results to meet the academic assessment requirements.
