Update from Victoria University (Melbourne Campus) (Update on GD Early Childhood Education English requirement reduction, 60% of the admission quota has been reached, early admission can be offered now)

Here are the latest updates regarding the GDEC project:

Regarding the recognition of qualifications completed in English-speaking countries to meet the English language requirements of the course, it has been confirmed that weonly recognize the following two scenarios:

1. A full-time undergraduate degree completed in Australia (at least 2 years) or a postgraduate degree (at least 1 year, including an unfinished master's degree with 1 year of grades), completed within the last 5 years;
2. Courses completed at accredited institutions where English is the language of instruction (including New Zealand, the UK, the US, Canada, or Ireland), and the course was completed no more than two years before enrollment.

Currently, we have reached60% of the admission quota.

To help speed up the conversion process, students canaccept the Offer once online results show all courses passed, butmust provide official transcripts by July 23to complete registration.

Simply put, you can use unofficial results to get a full offer first, to secure a spot (previously, a full offer was required first).

A few updates here about GDEC:

1. In regard to recognition of the qualification completed in English speaking countries to meet the English requirement of the course, it has been confirmed that we only recognise:

• Full time UG (at least 2 years)/ PG (at least 1 year) qualification completed in Australia, valid for 5 years.
• Study at an accredited institution in an English speaking country (New Zealand, the United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada or the Republic of Ireland) where English is the language of instruction, completedno more than two yearsprior to enrolment at VU.

2.We have reached 60% quota now and to help with quick conversion, your students can accept the offers when they have online results showing passing all subjects. They must provide official transcript before 23^rdJul before they can enrol.
