1. RMIT remains at Priority Level 1 for visa processing
According to Ministerial Direction No. 111 (MD111) from the Australian Department of Home Affairs, RMIT University is still listed as Priority Level 1 (High) for visa processing. To avoid delays in visa processing, we encourage students to apply and accept their offers as early as possible. Currently, the courses for the second semester are filling up quickly. If you have any questions, please contact the RMIT regional admissions team promptly.
2. The 2025/26 RMIT UP Course Guide is now released!
The brand new '2025/26 RMIT UP Guide' is aimed at international students, educational partners, and parents, including:
- English Language Pathway
- Foundation Studies
- And tips for living in Melbourne

3. RMIT Business School's taught master's programs can apply for up to 48 credit points reduction (half a year's credits)
If students have previously studied at RMIT or other recognized higher education institutionsA business-related undergraduate degree, and completed within the last 10 years, they may have the opportunity to apply for up to 48 credit points (equivalent to one semester) reduction through 'Master of Advanced Standing (MAS)'Apply for up to 48 credit points (equivalent to one semester) reduction.
How to apply:
- Check the option to apply for credit reduction in the application, and our admissions team will automatically evaluate it.
- Students need to provide an undergraduate degree certificate equivalent to AQF 7.
Applicable majors include:
*Note: The undergraduate degree must be recognized by RMIT as equivalent to Australian AQF Level 7.

College of Business and Law - Master of Advanced Standing (MAS) - For RMIT Business Master programs |
Did you know students could earn up to 48 credit points—equivalent to one semester of study—through our Master of Advanced Standing? If the student has completed a cognate Business degree at RMIT or another institution from Australia or around the world, they may be eligible for advanced standing in their RMIT Business Master program.
How?
- They must have a *bachelor's degree completed in a business cognate or business-related discipline.
- Have completed their bachelor's degree within 10 years.
- Simply indicate on the application that they would like to apply for credits, our admissions teams will do the rest.
