University of Sydney Foundation Program Language Course Update

Please check the three important updates regarding Taylors College Academic English Program (AEP):
1. Adjustment to the packaged admission of AEP language class and USFP (University of Sydney Foundation Program) for undergraduate programs - Effective from the January 2026 intake
- From June 10, 2025, new direct entry admissions for AEP will only be packaged with some specified undergraduate courses at the University of Sydney;
- The range of degree courses available for AEP students to package will be reduced;

2. AEP language class students can only attend the course once (Single Attempt Policy)
- From the October 2025 intake, AEP students are only allowed to attend the AEP course once during their entire study period;
- That is to say, AEP no longer allows repeated study, and students only have one chance to complete it.
3. Update on AE3 language class entry requirements
- From June 11, 2025, the English entry requirements for the AE3 course will be adjusted to: IELTS overall score of 5.5, with no less than 5.5 in each component;
- Below is a summary table of the latest entry and graduation language requirements:

We would like to inform you of 3 important updates to the Taylors College Academic English Program (AEP).
1. Changes to AEP and USFP Packaged Degree Options – Effective from the January 2026 Intake:
From10 June 2025, new acceptances for AEP will have a more limited selection of degree programs available for packaging with the University of Sydney Foundation Program (USFP).
Please refer to the link below for the list of degree programs that remain eligible for packaging with AEP.
2. Single Attempt Policy for AEP:
AEP students are permitted only one attempt at the AEP program. This will be applicable from the AEP start from October 2025 intake.
3. Updated Entry Requirements for AE3:
The entry requirements for AE3 will be revised to IELTS 5.5 (with no band less than 5.5). Below is a summary of the updated entry and exit requirements:
