ANU 2025 S2 update (Domestic students in Australia can still apply for 2025S2, case-by-case review for international students; deadline for admission acceptance; approaching 80% of the quota)

Please check below for important updates regarding applications for Semester 2 2025 from ANU:

1. The application for S2 2025 has closed on May 31, 2025

Submission of supplementary materials for applications already submitted

For applications already submitted in the system, we still accept supplementary materials, as long as students can complete the acceptance process before the specified deadline.

2. Onshore students can apply for 'late application'

Please follow the steps below:

1. Submit the application in the StudyLink system, selecting the S1 2026 intake;
2. Email the ANU admissions team, stating that the student is currently in Australia, and request to change the intake to S2 2025;

3. Late applications from offshore students will be handled on a case-by-case basis

If you are confident that the student can complete the admission and visa process by June 30, you can submit and send an email to request a change of intake time following the same steps above.

4. S2 2025 admission acceptance deadline

• Offshore students: June 30, 2025
• Onshore students: July 10, 2025

5. NOSC update (quota status)

We are about to reach 80% of the quota (NOSC).

Students are advised to accept the admission and submit their visa applications as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

6. Late Enrolment

Arrangements for late enrolment in S2 courses will be officially announced before the semester starts.

This email contains key information about Semester 2 2025 applications, which have been closed on 31 May 2025.

• Provision of documents for existing applications

We will keep accepting the provision of documents to the existing applications as long as the students can meet the acceptance deadlines.

• Late applications are permitted for onshore applications. Please follow the steps below.

Submit the application on StudyLink and choose the S1 2026 intake. Email ANU Admissions admissions@anu.edu.au to request that the intake be changed to S2 2025 based on the condition that the student is currently onshore. Please copy me in.

• Late applications from offshore students are considered case by casedepending on the visa processing time required. If you are confident that the student can meet the offshore acceptance deadline, 30 June, then follow the same steps above to request.

• S2 2025 acceptance deadlines

Offshore: 30 June 2025

Onshore: 10 July 2025

• NOSC update

We are close to reaching 80% of NOSC, therefore, students are encouraged to accept and lodge visa applications soon.

• Late enrolment

Information about late enrolments will be released before the S2 commencement.
