Before submitting your application, please ensure that you meet the undergraduate admission requirements of ANU, which can make your application process smoother. The undergraduate admission requirements of ANU, mainly include the following two aspects:

✅ Academic Requirements

Each undergraduate degree course at ANU has minimum entry requirements,Students need to meet the minimum entry requirements of ANU. ✅ English Requirements

Most international students need to meet the English language requirements of ANU. ANU accepts various English test proofs, including IELTS, PTE Academic, and TOEFL, etc. Generally speaking, for students applying for undergraduate admission, taking IELTS as an example, students need to meet the minimum score ofoverall 6.5, with each component 6.0. Students have two ways to apply for admission to ANU, you can choose the application method that suits you according to your situation.Students must meet all requirements to receive an official admission letter. If the submitted application materials are not complete, the school may consider issuing aconditional admission letter（conditional offer）, to further review your academic ability, language level, and other application materials.

✅ Directly submit an admission application to ANU

You can complete the application in the ANU admission application system through the following two steps. Students canfill in three volunteer majorsin the application, to increase the chance of admission, it is recommended that students do not choose three courses with exactly the same admission requirements. When filling in the volunteer majors,please list the courses you want to apply for in order of priority, if the application is successful, the school will issue the corresponding course admission letter according to your priority.

Before each round of application deadlines, students can exit and re-enter the system to continue the application at any time. The application fee is 110 AUD, and the system will prompt you to pay this fee when the online application process ends.

👉 2025 First Semester (Semester 1) Admission Application

• Application opening date: February 26, 2024.

• Application deadline: December 31, 2024, supplementary materials can still be submitted after this date. (The application deadline for courses at the Crawford School of Public Policy is October 15, 2024.)

• The deadline for accepting the offer is January 15 (if the applicant is overseas) or January 31 (if the applicant accepts the offer in Australia).

👉 2025 Second Semester (Semester 2) Admission Application

• Application opening date: June 17, 2024.

• Application deadline: May 30, 2025, supplementary materials can still be submitted after this date. (The application deadline for courses at the Crawford School of Public Policy is April 15, 2025.)

• The deadline for accepting the offer is June 30 (if the applicant is overseas) or July 10 (if the applicant accepts the offer in Australia).

👉 2026 Admission Application

• First semester application time: March to December 2025

• Second semester application time: June 2025 to May 2026

Note: The application deadline for courses with additional admission requirements may be different.Students can submit admission applications at any time throughout the year. Most applications submitted before the 15th of each month will receive an offer on the first working day of the next month, or before.

👉 Student Visa

After receiving the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), you need to apply for and obtain a student visa, usually a subclass 500 student visa, to study in Australia. All Australian visas come with conditions, you must ensure that you always comply with these conditions. In addition, students also need to hold a valid passport throughout their studies.

👉Overseas Student Health Insurance (OSHC)

After accepting the offer, students also need to purchase Overseas Student Health Insurance, which is also a mandatory requirement for Australian student visas (unless your country has a reciprocal medical agreement with Australia). Overseas Student Health Insurance will cover consultation fees, some hospital treatments, ambulance services, and some drug costs.

ANU provides students with a variety of on-campus accommodation options. To apply, please go to the ANU accommodation service portal to submit an application. It is worth mentioning thatANU guarantees on-campus accommodation for international freshmen starting in the first semester.If the student is under 18 at the start of the semester, they can choose to live in the university-approved on-campus dormitory Ursula Hall (Main Wing).
