This year's THE World University Rankings gathered over 2000 higher education institutions from 115 countries and regions worldwide, with UOW ranking in the 201-250 range, placing 11th among Australian universities.

THE World University Ranking MethodologyThe Times Higher Education World University Rankings is the only global performance table that judges research-intensive universities across all of their core missions, with ranking scores composed of five major categories, including Teaching (the learning environment), Research (volume, income, and reputation), Citations (research influence), Industry Income (knowledge transfer), and International Outlook (staff, students, and research). UOW's Outstanding PerformanceIn this year's rankings, UOW continues to excel in academic excellence, global collaboration, high-quality research, and industry engagement. Particularly notable is its performance in International Outlook, ranking 101st globally. This highlights UOW's strong international partnerships, the diversity of its faculty and student body, and its global collaborative capabilities in research.
Additionally, UOW also performs excellently in Research Quality, ranking 207th in this pillar category, with research excellence and citation impact being significant factors in this high score, reflecting the global influence of UOW's scientific research achievements.
