University of WollongongUOWThe Liverpool campus recently hosted its first summer job fair. The one-day event attracted many industry partners, allowing students to engage in face-to-face conversations with employers about career opportunities and industry developments.

Highlights of the First Summer Job Fair

The event attracted over 200 students, providing them with opportunities for temporary jobs, internships, and graduate positions. Among the participating employers were many well-known companies, such asMarsdens Law Group,Whitlam Leisure Centre, KPMG, PwC,Hammond Care, EY,Cabra-Vale Diggers,Wise Employment,Westfields Group, Western Sydney Airport,CVGT Employment, Australian International Sports Organization, National Australia Bank NAB, and Optus.


In addition to interacting with employers, students could also receive a professional headshot for free at the job fair to use on their LinkedIn profiles, significantly enhancing their online presence and making their resumes more attractive.


The Significance of the First Summer Job Fair

Regarding the successful hosting of the first summer job fair,UOWVice-Chancellor(Faculty of Health, Sydney Campus) Professor Louise Hickmansaid:“The first summer job fair is a fantastic initiative that brings together students, employers, and our broader community.
