Senior Lecturer
Hunter Fujak is a senior lecturer in sports management at Deakin University, previously providing media and sponsorship consulting services for Australia's largest sports leagues, events, and brands.
His research focuses include sports consumer behavior, media and broadcasting, and he has published academic works in journals such as the Journal of Sports Management, European Sports Management Quarterly, and Australian International Media.
Hunter is also a frequent media commentator, having written for The Guardian, B&T Magazine, and The Conversation, and published the book 'Code Wars - The Battle for Fans, Money, and Survival,' providing an in-depth analysis of the Australian commercial sports field. Hunter's latest work, 'Sports Broadcasting Management,' details industry best practices in this rapidly evolving sports media field.
Dr. Amelia Carr
Dr. Amelia Carr
Senior Lecturer
Dr. Amelia Carr's main research interests are in physical performance and the effects of nutritional and training interventions on physiology.
Her recent research focuses on the effects of nutritional supplementation, heat acclimatization, and altitude training on elite athletes' performance and physiological adaptation, collaborating with national sports organizations, professional sports clubs, the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), and international experts. Before joining Deakin University, she worked at the Australian Institute of Sport for five years and served as an applied sports scientist at the Department of Defense.
