In this meeting, we willhave the honor to invite Dr. Hui Cui, the teaching leader of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology and the master's degree program leader of the School of Computer Engineering and Mathematics, and Dr. Kan Yu, the coordinator of the 'Cisco-La Trobe AI and IoT Center Victoria Region' at the Bendigo campus, Department of Computer Science and Information Technology,to communicate with you online face-to-face.
They will provide you with a detailed introduction to the latest international development trends of the School of Computer Engineering and Mathematics at La Trobe University,share the practical applications of computer and information technology in Australia, and help you plan your future career direction.You will also have the opportunity to interact closely with the two teachers, appreciate the excellence of La Trobe University's faculty, and understand their academic fields to establish connections with them after enrollment!
Dr. Hui Cui
Senior Lecturer and Doctoral Supervisor at La Trobe University. Currently, she is the teaching leader of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology and the master's degree program leader..
After obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, Dr. Cui pursued her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Sydney, under the guidance of an Australian Academy of Engineering Fellow, and served as a postdoctoral researcher at the university. After joining La Trobe University, her research has focused on biomedical image analysis, machine learning, deep learning, and biomedical and health informatics.
She has published more than 80 papers in top journals and conferences in the fields of Medical Image Analysis, IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, MICCAI, etc., and has won multiple international conference best paper awards and first prizes for oral presentations.
Kan YuPh.D.
Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at La Trobe University's Bendigo campus, and also the coordinator of the Cisco-La Trobe AI and IoT Center Victoria Region.
Dr. Yu Kan has previously worked as a senior expert in the field at Huawei's Beijing Research Institute and Huawei's Sydney branch in Australia, with rich experience in teaching and research in IoT and AI.
After joining La Trobe University, he not onlyparticipated in the development of Australia's first IoT master's program,but also was responsible for designing its core courses and served as the head of the IoT lab. He is the organizer of the Industry Insight Seminar Series, bridging students and IoT industry experts by inviting executives and technical elites from local Australian companies, effectively promoting students' employment and internship opportunities.
Teachers from La Trobe University's China region will also provide you with detailedinterpretation of the latest early bird admission scholarship policy, COE application process, and accommodation arrangementsand other practical information. You will have the opportunity to ask questions of concern to the professors and receive authoritative answers.
