As one of the key exhibitors at this year's La Trobe University Partner Showcase,Randi's experience highlights the value of university-industry collaboration for students, La Trobe University, and various industries.
Randi actively participated in work experience opportunities during her studies, enhancing her professional development and career prospects in her chosen field. She also participated in the university's Career Ready Advantage Award, achieving silver and gold levels. Through online tutoring and volunteering with the Community Health and Student Engagement (CHASE) program, she successfully secured an internship with Medibank, Australia's leading private health insurance company.
A 13-month internshipprovided Randi with valuable insights into the healthcare industry.
She said, 'This was a turning point in my life because I started my internshipjust eight months into my studies,and was able to truly develop my professional skills.'
Randi stated:'The ultimate goal after graduating is to enter the industry.Through La Trobe's strategic partnerships with businesses, students have many opportunities to refine their employability skills during their studies,especially for international students, this is a great opportunity to gain Australian work experience.'
Randi's educational background and practical experience at Medibank smoothly led her to join i-scribe, a startup dedicated to improving patient care, streamlining clinical workflows, and empowering healthcare professionals through innovative AI solutions.
