Highlights of the ANU 2024 China Information Day event


As the grandest event of ANU this year, this event gathered teachers from ANU's seven colleges*, dormitories, and the admissions office, to give everyone a comprehensive understanding of ANU:

The Australian National University, established in 1946, isthe only university in Australia established by federal parliamentary legislation and enjoys the status of a national university across Australia.


Asthe university that has consistently ranked first in Australia*, ANU has6 Nobel laureates, including former Vice-Chancellor Professor Brian Schmidt, winner of the 2011 Nobel Prize in Physics, two Australian Prime Ministers, 12 Australian federal ministers, and more than 30 ambassadors, as well as many leading scientists and industry leaders.


*According to the QS World University Rankings over the years, ANU has achieved the top comprehensive ranking in Australia 16 times from 2006 to the present.


Currently, the university has seven colleges and four national scientific research institutes, including the Australian Academy of Science. ANU represents the top level of scientific research in Australia, is a member of the 'Group of Eight', and is also a member of several global top university cooperation organizations such as the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU) and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU).


On the day of the event, parents and students cangain an in-depth understanding of the seven colleges under ANU, as well as the star majors and courses of each college, through the explanations of ANU teachers.

The Australian National University (ANU)not only has a world-renowned academic reputation and a strong academic atmosphere, but also creates a rich and colorful campus life for students.As one of the few universities in Australia with its own campus, ANU's student dormitories, as an indispensable part of the campus life experience, will leave a significant mark on the study life of international students.


ANU campus student dormitories are located in an excellent geographical location, ensuring safety while allowing students to easily walk to teaching buildings, libraries, gyms, and other living facilities, greatly saving time and commuting costs. In addition, being located in the city center means students can conveniently use public transportation or walk to shopping centers, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, and other daily necessities stores to meet their daily life needs.


For students applying to enroll before July 1, 2024, ANU will guarantee on-campus accommodation. Moreover, there is no additional application fee for applying for dormitories.Details can be consulted with the ANU student dormitory office teachers at the event.
