Introduction to Charles Darwin University


Charles Darwin University (CDU) is located in Darwin, the capital of Australia's northern tropical region, and is the university closest to the Asia-Pacific region in Australia. Its predecessor was established in 1950 and named after the British biologist Charles Darwin. CDU offers diverse educational opportunities, with about 20,000 students, including about 2,000 international students from 69 countries and regions around the world. The starting salary and employment rate of CDU graduates rank among the top in Australian universities.

Semester Exchange Program Major Selection

Students will choose the College of Education for a one-semester study, and can select 3-4 courses. Exchange program courses canoffset master's degree credits, shortening the master's course study time to 1-1.5 years, with a master's stage tuition fee of about 22,000 Australian dollars.

PART.02

Estimated Study Abroad Costs


1. Tuition: 8840 Australian dollars (per semester, 2024)

2. Accommodation fee (including water, electricity, gas, and internet):

On-campus accommodation: 185 Australian dollars per week

Off-campus accommodation: 185-240 Australian dollars per week (excluding water, electricity, gas, and internet)

3. Food and daily necessities: 100-300 Australian dollars per week



7. Other expenses:

Visa fee: 650 Australian dollars

Medical examination fee: 300 Australian dollars

Health insurance: 880 Australian dollars


PART.03

Applicants and Admission Requirements


1. Eligibility:

Sophomore and junior students

Good moral character, law-abiding, physically and mentally healthy

Have the adaptability and financial conditions to study in Australia for a semester

Have a passport, or can complete passport processing soon

2. Academic and language requirements:

Semester average score of 70 points or above

Good English communication skills, IELTS total score of 6 or above

(No less than 6 in each item)

Semester exchange time: February 2025

Application deadline: December 29, 2024
