First of all, congratulations on receivingthe University of Wollongong Australia College (UOW College)the offer letter and welcome you to choose the University of Wollongong Australia College (UOW College) as an excellent pathway to UOW degree programs.With the rapid development of the Australian higher education environment, we continuously adjust our course offerings to adapt to the ever-changing needs of students.

Please carefully read the following updates to understand the courses you have applied for and pay attention to any changes. New Scholarships:

The University of Wollongong Australia College (UOW College) has added two new scholarships:

International Academic Course Bursary

International Academic Course Bursary:

Students who receive offer letters for the Summer 2024 intake and all intakes in 2025 can enjoy a 20% tuition fee reduction. All international students except Australian or New Zealand citizens are eligible for this bursary.

English Language Pathway Bursary

Students who have an English course before studying the University of Wollongong College (UOW College) Diploma or Foundation courses can enjoy a 20% tuition fee reduction for the English course.

New English Language Requirements:

Starting from March 2024, the Australian government has adjusted the English language requirements for student visas and temporary graduate visas.

Change One

The minimum English language requirement score for student visas has been increased from IELTS 5.5 to 6 (or equivalent).

The University of Wollongong Australia College's Diploma Accelerated Program (Science, Business, Engineering, and Information Technology) provides a pathway to the second year of the University of Wollongong for students with an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent.

Change Two

The minimum English language requirement score for the ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) + main course package has been increased from IELTS 4.5 to 5.0 (or equivalent).

If you need to study the ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) + main course package, your IELTS score must be at least 5 (or equivalent). If a student's IELTS score is 5 (or equivalent), the ELICOS part of the package course should be at least 20 weeks.

Change Three

For students participating in the University Foundation Program or academic bridging courses including English training, the minimum English language requirement score is IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent).)

The University of Wollongong College is honored to be recognized by the Department of Home Affairs to offer courses and accommodation for students with an IELTS score of 5.5 (or equivalent).

The admission requirements for the University of Wollongong College Foundation Program remain at IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent).

University of Wollongong College Independent Offer Letters:

In response to the changing market environment, the University of Wollongong College has recently updated the courses we offer to students, and now you can choose to receive an independent admission confirmation letter from the University of Wollongong College. The following information will help students understand:

What is an independent offer letter?

An independent offer letter is an offer letter for a specific course at the University of Wollongong College, different from a package course offer letter that includes multiple courses.
Independent offer letters for the University of Wollongong College Diploma and ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) are now applicable to specific countries. Please contact your study abroad advisor for more information.
It will allow students to receive an offer letter and admission confirmation letter for studying courses at the University of Wollongong College and have the opportunity to transfer to the University of Wollongong after completing the courses.
If your IELTS score is below 5, you cannot receive a package offer letter for language and academic courses, but you can receive an independent course offer letter. Similarly, if you wish to study a Diploma or Foundation program before pursuing a Bachelor's degree at the University of Wollongong, you may also be eligible to apply for an independent offer letter from the University of Wollongong College.

Pathway to the University of Wollongong:

Students holding an independent offer letter from the University of Wollongong College who wish to continue their studies at the University of Wollongong will receive an offer letter from the University of Wollongong, detailing the progression requirements that must be met for subsequent admission confirmation.
