Student Visa Application Reminder
A reminder for all agent partners regarding the student visa application.
Some students have been rejected for not having taken their health examination by the due date as requested by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA). In some cases student visas were rejected for not having OSHC in place and failing to respond to a Request for Information (RFI) through their ImmiAccount. Simple errors can result in DHA putting the application on hold until they receive the correct information from the student. Kindly remind your staff and clients to:
Check emails frequently (and ensure they use their own email that they regularly check);
Respond to RFI promptly and advise DHA if any issues are preventing access to medical appointments or any other barriers to completing their processes;
- If unable to meet the deadline requested by DHA, provide evidence such as payment receipt or booking confirmation, to DHA immediately on what actions students have taken to obtain the required information within the specified timeframe. This will alert the case officer that they are taking steps to obtain the required information however, cannot achieve the deadline.
- When in doubt, keep DHA informed through their ImmiAccount, not via emails. Please be mindful that the designated channel is ImmiAccount.
