As 2024 draws to a close, many students are submitting their applications for the coming year. We would like to remind you of the application deadlines and acceptance dates for Semester 1, 2025 (closing and acceptance dates for semester 1, 2025) to ensure students submit all materials on time.
Application deadlines:
- Domestic applications: Monday, February 10, 2025
- Offshore applications (excluding India): Monday, January 13, 2025
- Offshore applications from India: Monday, December 16, 2024
Acceptance deadlines:
- Domestic applications: Monday, February 17, 2025
- Offshore applications: Tuesday, January 28, 2025
- Offshore applications from India: Provisional acceptance deadline until Monday, January 13, 2025

Here, students can find detailed guidance on visa applications, booking airport reception, arranging accommodation, and understanding health insurance. This page will help students prepare for life in Brisbane, explore the city, and learn about campus life at QUT. Please encourage students to visit this page and log into the QUT student portal. Early preparation will help students succeed in their first semester.
As we are getting to the end of 2024 many students are putting in their applications for the coming year. We like to remind you of the closing and acceptance dates for semester 1, 2025 to ensure students submit everything on time.
Application closing dates:
- Onshore – Monday 10 February, 2025.
- Offshore - (except India) Monday 13 January, 2025.
- Offshore India – Monday 16 December, 2024.
Acceptance dates:
- Onshore – Monday 17 February, 2025.
- Offshore – Tuesday 28 January, 2025.
- Offshore India – Provisional offer acceptance Monday 13 January, 2025.

New Diploma in Architectural studies
From 2025 onwards,Diploma in Architectural Studiesprovides students with a direct pathway into the following courses:
- Bachelor of Architectural Design at Queensland University of Technology (QUT)
- Bachelor of Built Environment (Honours) (Interior Design)
- Bachelor of Built Environment (Honours) (Landscape Architecture)
QUT is one of the top 100 universities in the world for architecture and built environment, and we have Queensland’s most in-demand architecture degree (2024 QTAC First Preferences).
Through the Diploma in Architectural Studies, students will have the opportunity to:
- Master the basics of spatial design.
- Practice basic drawing and modeling techniques.
- Learn how to present design concepts to different audiences.
- Understand the environmental impact of different building materials.
- Study in a supportive learning environment alongside Australian students.
- Improve academic English language skills.
- Receive up to 1 year of credit towards further studies in related architecture and built environment courses.
